The whole room was clean and had climate control and a balcony. Excellent views, the breakfast was satisfactory with jam, ham, boiled potatoes. The hotel's position was marvellous and fab, just next door to the central excellent restaurants and water ferries, and the church which is standing in front of the Lago Maggiore.

Breakfast with ham and jam, for example. Bright and spacious unit for great views over the piazza;))

The hotel was an excellent base for enjoying a pedestrian area. The location was great - a few steps away from everywhere I wanted to go. Center and shops and restaurants right outside the door. Rewritten: Hotel Moderno in Stresa was the perfect place to stay for exploring the pedestrian area nearby. It was conveniently located just off a beautiful church with a bell tower, and shops and restaurants were right outside the door. the hotel's location was excellent, with everything I wanted to visit just a few steps away.

Great central location in the town, convenient for buses, boats & station. Staff were very helpful.
We were on the top floor and the shower did not stay at a consistent temperature, fluctuating between warm and cold. The breakfasts were adequate but dull, some fresh fruit and tomatoes would have helped.

The location of the hotel is convenient in the middle of town close to all restaurants, yet quiet. Rooms are clean and simple.
Considering other hotels we stayed in, the value of what you get for your money was not the best. Choices at breakfast a bit scarce.

The location was ideal for exploring the centre of the town. It had a relaxed atmosphere and the staff where very helpful and friendly.
We stayed at the weekend and were awoken at 8 am by the church bells which were literally across the narrow alley.

The staff were courteous and had a sense of humor. Room was clean and beautiful, with a fine bathroom. The facilities, such as a work desk, coffee and tea making equipment, and TV, were all that was needed. I loved the staff - so friendly and fun. Our room was clean and really nice, especially the bathroom. the facilities were great – we had everything we needed, from a desk to coffee and tea making gear to a TV.

Located right in the centre of Stresa on a pedestrian street with no traffic. Nice breakfast in an inner courtyard.
Unloading luggage is tricky on a pedestrian street, no parking next to hotel.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
